I’m just ashamed that I didn’t mention anything about The Fine Frenzy show I attended in April. I ordered two tickets but ended up going alone due to last minute changes; however eating the extra ticket price was worth it.

The owner of the Largo is a hilarity in his own right.

Prior to the performance all he asked (well demanded) was:

  1. “Completely turn off our phones and none of this vibrate crap or your ass is mine”
  2. “This isn’t the movies so put away your video cameras and we won’t have an issue, unless you like curbs”

The requests weren’t much to ask of us, but solely out of respect; which I understood. Yet on the other hand someone in the back row didn’t quite agree and recorded video from the venue.

I thought the set was just phenomenal and so was Alison. During the encore we were treated to a brand new song called “love bird calling” but I loved Wilco’s cover of “wishful thing”.

Do yourself and favor and toss that Ke$ha* cd in the trash and pick up A Fine Frenzy’s - Bomb In A Birdcage.

*Did she really have to replace the ‘s’ with a dollar sign?
