UPDATE

The past couple of months have been a bit intense, but not without new transitions coming into effect. After graduation I decided to take time off and not dive into graduate school right away.

Yes, the generic stereotype of wanting a break. (Deal with it!)

A small break is all I wanted. A break which allowed me to throw myself into research and other personal projects to pursue and complete. The beginning of this break started off great. I cut my work hours dramatically, projects were being completed, research progressed, and strangely the hours of me finding my Elmo shirt and PJs proper attire started to increase. Further into this break I started to become restless and finally came to a conclusion and realized……

“I had buyers remorse.”

Fast forward a couple months after this epiphany I now have a new job as a Behavioral Therapist. I love the job since it’s an opportunity allowing me to further expand and use what I was taught so far about. A positive change that will keep me from being solely confined to the realm of lonely neuroscience papers and lab work.

I now get to stretch my legs out once in a while.
